IS provides services relating to the purchase and management of IT and telecommunications equipment.
All UWA IT and telecommunications equipment should be purchased in line with the University's Strategic Procurement policies including using preferred suppliers for items such as PCs and laptops.
All hardware to be connected to the IS-supported networks must be authorised by IS before purchase.
If a system is purchased and connected without our authorisation, IS reserves the right to block access completely and without notification.

All IT equipment for these areas must be purchased through IS including PCs, laptops, PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants), printers, scanners, servers, routers and switches.
