Course Materials Online (CMO) are course materials identified by your lecturers as important for your unit.

Items listed may include online journal articles, book chapters, examination papers or links to books and other items held in a subject library's Reserve or main collections.

The most recent five years of examination papers are available in Course Materials Online. However, some are marked as not for publication.

The Commonwealth Copyright Act and some licence agreements require Information Services to verify you are a valid UWA staff member or student before granting access.

How to find course materials

  1. Login to Course Materials Online above using your UWA ID (staff or student) number and Pheme password.
  2. Select the required CMO list from your enrolled units listed on the left, under "My Resource Lists".
  3. Or you can browse to your unit's CMO list by selecting its discipline or subject area.
  4. Alternatively, you may search in the top right-hand field:
    • Keywords from the unit's title and alternative titles
    • The name of your unit co-ordinator or a lecturer
    • The unit code
    • The unit code from previous years.
  5. Click on your unit's title to display its CMO list.
  6. On this screen will be a list of all items made available for your unit.
  7. Click on the item's title to access the item. This may take you to the item itself, or to the catalogue for an item held in the collection.
  8. Click on the source's title to access information about the source of the item, for example the book a chapter came from.

Not all course materials are available in Course Materials Online.

Although the citation will appear in the CMO list, you may not have full text online access. Some reading materials will be located in our physical Reserve Collection. These items include books, audiovisual materials, and some photocopies. Because they are in high demand, these items are housed separately to the main collection, and have limited borrowing times.

Contact your unit co-ordinator if your unit readings are not available online.
