In addition to our computing facilities and copying services, we have audio visual equipment, group study rooms and training rooms for student use.
Some libraries have group study rooms or carrels which are available to UWA staff and students. Some rooms are available for booking for a maximum of two hours. Contact the appropriate subject library for more information and for bookings.

The Library Access Grid Classroom provides large-format multimedia displays, presentation and interactive environments, and interfaces to Access Grid middleware and to visualisation environments in a purpose built classroom with 23 seats. These resources are used to support group-to-group interactions across the world.
The Access Grid classroom can be booked by UWA staff or postgraduate students. Bookings for undergraduate students must to be submitted by their lecturer. To submit a booking request for the Access Grid Room please fill in the following form. Reoccurring bookings can be made in the one request; list all of the dates in the Comments section. All booking requests are subject to confirmation.
Note: The Access Grid facility in the Science Library is a service offered and supported by Information Services. For sessions under two hours, this service is available at no cost for all University purposes. Bookings over two hours or involving commercial companies may be facilitated at a cost which will be assessed dependent upon the needs of the booking.
Classes are only available to staff and students. However all patrons, including walk-in users, are welcome to use the computers in the training rooms when there are no classes being held.
Some libraries have training rooms where classes are provided in finding research information and using library resources. Contact the appropriate subject library for more information.
In addition to standard Library software, the 16 computers in the Multimedia suite have Adobe Creative Suite 4 (Master Collection), Adobe Media Player and multiple internet browsers. This software is only available with a UWA login.
Lumens visual presenter cameras, webcams and headphones locked to the computers are available in the four multimedia group study rooms. Staff do not provide support in the use of multimedia software. Online help is available through the Adobe site.
Our audio visual equipment is available to all borrowers with some facilities available to walk-in users.
