University visitors, students of other Western Australian universities and community members can use UWA's Information Services.

To borrow material you must be registered as an Information Services member. Registration will enable you to borrow books and other resources, as set out in the Information Services rules.

Some materials, such as journals and reference books, may not be borrowed and are only available to view within Information Services.

Due to licence restrictions, some electronic resources may only be available to certain categories of members. There are a range of online resources available to the public via the State Library of WA (using your WA public library membership number) and the National Library of Australia (NLA) (by registering online to obtain a library card).

Visiting staff and academics

Visitors to University faculties and schools who wish to join Information Services need a Visitor Campus Card. The Campus card website provides information on how to get a campus card. Applications for Campus Cards must be signed by the head of school or centre (or delegated officer).

Visitors, after getting a Campus Card, who wish to access UWA Information Services online journals and databases remotely need to activate a Pheme account in order to create a Pheme password.
